Ben has over 17 years of experience with a specialization in planning, optimization, and design of surface water treatment, groundwater, and advanced water treatment systems.
Ben has been involved in a variety of water, reuse water, and advanced treatment projects that have encompassed conceptual and detailed design as well as process optimization and control. He has led a number of studies and evaluations that are on the forefront of water treatment and reclamation – including the Scottsdale Advanced Water Treatment Project where he led the literature review, piloting, design, and commissioning of various systems including stepped chlorination/chloramination, effluent ozonation, and UV Photolysis. Ben participated in the Steering Committee established to develop Guidance Framework for Direct Potable Reuse in Arizona and is on the forefront of water recycling and treatment technologies.
Ben was named the AZ Water Association, Engineer of the Year 2019 for his contributions to the water and wastewater industry in Arizona.
